Dr. Sai Lakshmi Daayana

Dr Sai Lakshmi Daayana graduated from Osmania medical college, Hyderabad. Following this, she pursued higher degrees in obstetrics and gynaecology and gynaecological oncology in the UK (MRCOG; MD - University of Manchester; Sub-speciality training in gynaecological oncology).

She trained and worked in UK for 18 years. Her last post was as a consultant in surgical gynaecological oncology for 3 years at St James institute of oncology, Leeds, UK.

Since, she has moved to India in Sept 2016 and has taken up the post of consultant surgical gynaecological oncology at Apollo Institutes of cancer, Hyderabad. Dr Daayana is a cancer surgeon and is experienced at performing open, laparoscopic and robotic procedures for gynaecological cancers (ovarian, uterine, cervix, vagina and vulva).

She is also a trained gynaecologist with 20 years experience and is an expert in dealing menstrual problems, pelvic pain and menopause issues. She is ardent about promoting women’s health and well-being.

She has a keen interest in making women aware about cancer screening options and risk-reducing options. she is also an excellent health and well-being counsellor.
